Development history
Airbags were first proposed by Hertrick in August 1953, and obtained the US patent for “automotive cushioning safety device”. Europe and The equipment rate of airbags on automobiles in the United States, Japan and other countries has reached nearly 100%.
It is mainly composed of airbag sensors, anti-collision airbags and electronic control devices. The driver side anti-collision airbag device is installed in the steering wheel; the passenger side anti-collision airbag device is generally installed on the dashboard. The airbag sensors are respectively installed on the left, right and middle of the cab partition; the airbag sensor and the airbag system in the middle are installed together with the electronic control device. Airbag components are mainly composed of airbags, gas generators and igniters. If the electronic control device is used for data collection and data processing, and diagnosis of the reliability of the airbag, it can ensure that when the preset value is reached, the ignition signal will be sent out in time, and the ignition will be timed to ensure that the gas generator has a large enough driving current Wait.
When a car crashes during driving, the airbag sensor first receives the impact signal. As long as the specified intensity is reached, the sensor will act and send a signal to the electronic controller. After the electronic controller receives the signal, it compares it with the original stored signal. If the airbag deployment condition is reached, the drive circuit sends a start signal to the gas generator in the airbag assembly. After the gas generator receives the signal, it ignites the gas generating agent and generates a large amount of gas. After being filtered and cooled, it enters the airbag, allowing the airbag to break through the cushion in a very short time and deploy quickly, forming an elastic air cushion in the front of the driver or occupant , And leak and shrink in time to absorb impact energy, thereby effectively protecting the human head and chest from injury or reducing the degree of injury.
